| God's first
instruction to Abraham was, "get thee out". Gen. 12:1. JOSHUA 21 Josh 21:1-3 These Levites showed that they were not jealous over what had been given to their brethren. They treasured the Lord's special promise to themselves. Josh 21:4-8 These Levites were scattered throughout the twelve tribes on both sides of the Jordan River. They were the special servants of the Lord. Josh 21:9-42 The children of Aaron were divided into four groups - the priests, the Kohathites, the Gershonites, and the Merarites. Each group had its special work, as we saw in reading the book of Numbers. Here they are getting part of their rewards. (In Mark 13:34 we read something of the same for us today). Josh 21:43-45 What a God we have! How sure is everything He has said! What rest we will find in simply relying upon the Holy Scriptures! |

à Abraham fut: "Va-t-en" - Ge 12:1. JOSUÉ 21 Jos 21:1-3 Ces Lévites ont prouvé qu'ils n'étaient pas jaloux des possessions de leurs frères. Ils chérissaient la promesse spéciale que l'Éternel leur avait faite. Jos 21:4-8 Ces Lévites étaient dispersés parmi les douze tribus des deux côtés du Jourdain. Ils étaient les serviteurs spéciaux de l'Éternel. Jos 21:9-42 Les enfants d'Aaron étaient divisés en quatre groupes: les Lévites, les Kéhathites, les Guerchonites et les Mérarites. Chaque groupe avait un travail particulier comme nous l'avons vu dans le livre des Nombres. Ici ils reçoivent une partie de leur récompense (dans Marc 13:34, nous lisons quelque chose de semblable pour nous, aujourd'hui). Jos 21:43-45 Quel Dieu avons-nous! Chacune de ses Paroles est si certaine! Quel repos trouverons-nous en nous appuyant simplement sur les Saintes Écritures! |

Eles deram valor à promessa especial que o Senhor lhes havia dado. Js 21:4-8 Estes Levitas foram espalhados por todas as doze tribos de ambos os lados do Rio Jordão. Eles eram os servos especiais do Senhor. Js 21:9-42 Os filhos de Aarão foram divididos em quatro grupos - os sacerdotes, os Coatitas, os Gersonitas e os Meraritas. Cada grupo tinha seu trabalho particular, conforme vemos quando lemos o livro de Números. Aqui eles estão recebendo parte de suas recompensas. (Em Mc 13:34 lemos algo parecido para nós hoje). Js 21:43-45 Que Deus nós temos! Quão certo é tudo o que Ele falou! Que descanso encontraremos em simplesmente confiarmos nas Sagradas Escrituras! |
