said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all
that the prophets have spoken: ought not Christ to have
suffered these things, and to enter into His glory? And
beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded
unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning
Himself." Luke 24:27.The Bible Is About a PersonThe glorious Person
of our Lord Jesus Christ is the key to the Holy
Scriptures. They all point to Him in one way or another.
As Jehovah God in the Old Testament, He lovingly cares
for His earthly people, Israel. He is the subject of
types and the object of prophecies. He over-rules in the
governments of men, and receives the worship of believers. The Son of GodAt Bethlehem, this
glorious Son of God, member of the divine trinity,
entered our world as the holy Son of Man - born of a
virgin. Unrecognized by the majority of His earthly
people, He showed His credential as the true Messiah by
perfectly fulfilling the prophetic Scriptures. Miracles
of all kinds infallibly proved Him to be the Son of God
with power, even to the raising of the dead.
A Sacrifice to GodHe died on the
cross as a sacrifice to God for guilty man. He was
without sin, holy, spotless and pure. He suffered for the
sins of believers of all ages, shedding His precious
blood as the basis of every blessing for fallen humanity.
He was raised from the dead by the glory of God, He
ascended back to heaven physically, and sat down at the
right hand of God the Father. His Heavenly PeopleHe is there today
caring for every interest of His believing people still
on the earth. He listens to their prayers, and receives
their worship. Soon, He will call to heaven His redeemed
ones, both the living and the dead who died in faith. The
"church", the company that includes all those
who truly believe in Him, is His bride - His companion to
share His reign when He appears again to this world. Here
He will reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords! His Earthly PeopleHe shall be received by His earthly people, Israel, after great troubles have softened their hearts and made them willing, according to the Scriptures. This time is very near at hand. Yes, Bible history is His story! "These are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name." John 20:31.

de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo é a chave para as Sagradas
Escrituras. Todas elas apontam para Ele de um modo ou de
outro. Como Jeová Deus no Antigo Testamento, Ele
carinhosamente cuida do Seu povo terrenal, Israel. Ele é
o assunto dos tipos e o objeto das profecias. Ele está
sobre os governos dos homens, e recebe a adoração dos
que crêem. O Filho de DeusEm Belém, este
glorioso Filho de Deus, membro da divina trindade, entrou
em nosso mundo como o santo Filho do Homem - nascido de
uma virgem. Embora não reconhecido pela maioria do Seu
povo terreno, Ele mostrou Suas credenciais de verdadeiro
Messias por cumprir perfeitamente as Escrituras proféticas.
Milagres de todos os tipos provaram que Ele era
infalivelmente o Filho de Deus com poder, até para
ressuscitar mortos. Um Sacrifício Para DeusEle morreu na cruz
como um sacrifício para Deus pelo homem culpado. Ele era
sem pecado, santo, imaculado e puro. Sofreu pelos pecados
dos crentes de todas as eras, derramando Seu precioso
sangue como base par toda a bênção em favor da
humanidade caída. Ele foi ressuscitado de entre os
mortos pela glória de Deus, subiu de volta ao céu
fisicamente, e assentou-Se à destra de Deus Pai. Seu Povo CelestialEle está ali hoje
cuidando dos interesses do Seu povo que nEle crê e que
ainda está na Terra. Ele escuta suas orações, e recebe
a sua adoração. Cedo Ele chamará os Seu redimidos para
o céu, tanto os vivos como os mortos que morreram na fé.
A "igreja", o grupo que inclui todos aqueles
que verdadeiramente crêem nEle, é Sua noiva - Sua
companhia para compartilhar do Seu reinado quando Ele
vier novamente a este mundo. Aqui Ele reinará como Rei
dos Reis e Senhor dos Senhores! Seu Povo TerrenoEle será recebido por Seu povo terreno, Israel, depois de grandes tribulações que abrandarão o coração deles e os fará desejosos de recebê-Lo, conforme as Escrituras. Este tempo se aproxima rapidamente. Sim, a história da Bíblia é a história dEle! "Estes, porém, foram escritos para que creiais que Jesus é o Cristo, o Filho de Deus, e para que, crendo, tenhais vida em Seu nome". João 20:31. |
